Almost no suppressor manufacturer publishes actual dB numbers with the methodology behind them. We do. Here's every sound measurement we've taken across the Echo Trace lineup — with our rifle, meter, ammunition, and day logged. Read the fine print — we mean it.
The reason most published suppressor numbers are useless is that they come from different rifles, different meters, different atmospheric conditions, and different ammunition. A 3 dB difference on paper vanishes when you re-test on a colder morning. Every number on this page came from a single testing day with everything controlled.
Every re-test replaces old Echo Trace numbers with newer ones. If a number below changes, we'll update the date and note what changed. When a new can enters the lineup, or when we re-test with a different barrel length or host, we add the row and keep the old numbers in the changelog. What you see here is what we measured, when we measured it.

Sound reduction is one measurement. Whether a suppressor survives is a different one. Every Echo Trace centerfire can — Veil, Cloak, and Overwatch — has completed 7 SOCOM tables: the same testing protocol U.S. Special Operations Command applies to weapons and suppressors before they enter service.
Every 5.56 model in the lineup has also completed full destruction testing as of February 2026 — full auto runs to catastrophic failure, with post-mortem inspection of baffles, welds, and mount geometry.
These aren't marketing claims. They're the reason we can call our centerfire cans auto-rated without asterisks.
