1. Who we are
Echo Trace Suppressors ("Echo Trace," "we," "us," or "our") is a federally licensed firearms manufacturer based in Aberdeen, North Carolina. This policy applies to echotracesuppressors.com and any other digital properties we operate that link to it.
Data controller: Echo Trace Suppressors, 197 Ridgeline Rd, Aberdeen, NC 28315, United States. SOT / Type 07 FFL.
2. What we collect
We collect two kinds of information:
Information you give us directly. When you fill out a form on our site — a dealer application, a contact request, or a warranty inquiry — we receive whatever you put in the form. For dealer applications this typically includes business name, FFL/SOT number, physical address, point-of-contact name, phone number, and email address.
Information collected automatically. When you visit our site, your browser sends standard information that our hosting infrastructure logs: IP address, browser type and version, referring URL, pages viewed, and timestamps. This is standard server-log data and is used for site reliability, security, and abuse prevention.
We do not ask for, receive, or store any information related to your ATF Form 4 application itself. The Form 4 process runs between you, your dealer, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. Echo Trace is not a party to your tax-stamp application and does not see your fingerprints, photograph, or Form 4 paperwork.
3. How we use it
We use the information you give us to:
- Respond to inquiries about our products, dealer program, warranty, media requests, and law-enforcement or regulatory correspondence.
- Evaluate and administer dealer applications, including verifying FFL/SOT status through public ATF resources.
- Fulfill warranty obligations through your dealer of record.
- Comply with legal, tax, and regulatory obligations that apply to a licensed firearms manufacturer.
We use automatically collected information to keep the site online, fast, and secure, and to measure aggregate site performance.
4. Analytics and cookies
We use standard web analytics to understand which pages get visited, how visitors reach us, and how the site performs. Analytics providers may set cookies or use similar technologies to measure this. Where possible, we configure analytics to anonymize IP addresses and to respect any Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signals sent by your browser.
Cookies used on this site fall into two categories:
- Strictly necessary cookies that keep the site functional (session state, security, load balancing).
- Analytics cookies that help us measure aggregate traffic.
We do not use advertising or retargeting cookies, and we do not build behavioral profiles of individual visitors. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings without losing access to the site.
5. Third-party sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes. We do not share dealer-application data with any third-party retailer or sales channel.
We share information only in these limited situations:
- Service providers we hire to run the business — such as our web host, email provider, and payment processors — who are contractually bound to use your information only to perform services for us.
- Your dealer of record for warranty and service coordination, and only for that purpose.
- Government agencies when required by law, subpoena, or a valid regulatory request, including the ATF. Formal law-enforcement, agency, and regulatory correspondence should be directed to compliance@echotracesuppressors.com.
- Successor entities in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy continuing to apply.
6. How long we keep it
We keep information only as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected, or as required by law. Dealer records and firearms-related records are retained for the period required by federal firearms regulations. Website contact form submissions are retained for our internal records and periodically reviewed for deletion.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Request access to the personal information we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate information.
- Request deletion, subject to legal retention obligations that apply to a licensed firearms manufacturer.
- Opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information — noting that we don't sell or share personal information for third-party marketing to begin with.
To exercise these rights, email orders@echotracesuppressors.com with the subject line "Privacy Request." We may need to verify your identity before acting on the request.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect the information we collect. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we learn of a data incident that materially affects you, we will notify you as required by law.
9. Children
Our site and products are for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18, and our products cannot be transferred to anyone under 21. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the "Effective" date at the top of the page. Material changes will be announced prominently on this page.
