Every Echo Trace centerfire suppressor is built on a two-piece architecture: a serialized body that stays with you, and a serviceable core that gets refreshed as engineering advances. Keep the serial. Keep the paperwork. Get the new engineering.
When the internals wear or the technology moves on, most suppressors leave you two options: eat the loss, or buy a new can and file all the paperwork over again. Two-piece architecture removes the trap.
Service and upgrade traffic routes through licensed FFLs — same channel as the original transfer. Federal law requires it, and it keeps your paperwork clean.
Reach out to the dealer who transferred the suppressor, or any authorized Echo Trace dealer. They'll open the service or upgrade request on your behalf and coordinate with the shop in Aberdeen. Agency accounts can email compliance@echotracesuppressors.com directly.
All service and upgrade traffic routes through a licensed FFL — same channel as the original transfer. Federal law, and we agree with it. Your dealer packages and ships the can to Echo Trace; chain of custody stays intact from your safe to our bench.
The core is refreshed or upgraded, the assembly is function-tested, and the can ships back to your dealer for pickup. Serial number never changes. Form 4 never re-filed. No new paperwork of any kind. Nominal service fee — priced to be the obvious choice over buying new.
Departments that issue suppressors with service rifles run into the same problem every few thousand rounds: internals wear, sound performance drifts, and the choice is between eating the loss or filing new Form 4s on replacement cans across the whole armory. Two-piece architecture solves it. The registered serial stays with the department's inventory. The core gets refreshed on a maintenance cycle. No re-registration, no re-issuing, no new paperwork trail.
