01 · The Brief

A 5.56 can that tells you what it's doing — while it keeps doing it.

Cloak is our extreme-duty 5.56. Same first-round quiet as its sister Veil, built for the day where the string doesn't just not end — it stacks. Full-auto strings. Bump-fire drills. Extended CQB rotations. The kind of duty cycle that fatigues baffles and cracks welds in cans that were designed for a magazine at a time.

The internals are a coaxial pseudo-Tesla valve — adapted from Nikola Tesla's 1920 valve with no moving parts. Gas resists itself on the way out while the bullet path stays open. Each shot torques the threads in the tightening direction. The harder you run it, the tighter it gets. Serialized, published data sheet in the box, ±2 dB atmospheric variance called out on paper.

The Number
131.8dB

Suppressed sound level at the muzzle, 5.56 NATO from a 16″ direct-impingement rifle — under the commonly cited 140 dB hearing-safe threshold for impulse noise. That's 37.7 dB of reduction against a ~169.5 dB unsuppressed baseline. Every serialized Cloak ships with the published data sheet in the box.

How to read this chart · Bars show absolute suppressed sound level at the muzzle. Shorter is quieter. The blue line marks the commonly cited 140 dB hearing-safe threshold for impulse noise — Cloak sits under it.

Tesla valve.
Self-torquing core.

In 1920, Nikola Tesla patented a valve with no moving parts — a fixed geometry that lets fluid flow easily in one direction and resist itself in the other. Cloak uses a three-dimensional, coaxial pseudo-Tesla valve around a central bullet bore: gas fights itself on the way out while the round travels through untouched.

The full core is DMLS metal-printed as a single monolithic piece — the only way that geometry becomes manufacturable. No gas tubes by design; they would interfere with the Tesla-valve flow system. Every shot torques the threads in the tightening direction, on top of standard threaded connections. The harder you run it, the tighter it gets.

  • Coaxial pseudo-Tesla valve geometry — gas resistance around a clean bullet path
  • DMLS monolithic core — Grade 5 titanium, Direct Metal Laser Sintering
  • Self-torquing threads — each shot tightens in the correct direction
  • No gas tubes by design — the flow system does the work
  • Titanium body, HUB mount (1 3/8-24)
  • Two-piece body/core — serialized body stays, core gets serviced through the upgrade program

01

HUB mount (1 3/8-24)

Universal HUB threading — no proprietary interface. Runs with any HUB adapter, so the can moves between hosts without a new mount.

02

Self-torquing threads

Copper-lined mechanical lock. Each shot torques the threads in the tightening direction on top of the standard threaded connection. The harder you run it, the tighter it gets.

03

Serialized titanium body

The ATF-marked half. Carries the serial, caliber, and manufacturer engraving. Stays with the owner for life.

04

DMLS Tesla-valve core

Monolithic Grade 5 titanium core, laser-sintered as one piece. A coaxial pseudo-Tesla valve resists gas flow around a clean bullet path — no gas tubes by design, because they would interfere with the flow system.

05

End cap

Muzzle-side flow control. First-blast surface. Replaced during a core service if worn.

04 · Upgrade Program

Keep the body.
Refresh the core.

The serialized body of a suppressor is the part the government tracks. Everything else — baffles, blast baffle, end cap — is service hardware. Most brands ship you a new can when the internals fatigue. We don't. Send the Cloak back, keep your serial, and get a fresh core for a fraction of a new suppressor.

  1. STEP 01
Register the serial Your Cloak is registered when it leaves Aberdeen. No paperwork on your end to be eligible.
  2. STEP 02
Send it back through your FFL All service traffic routes through a licensed FFL, same as the original transfer. Federal law, and we agree with it.
  3. STEP 03
Get a new core, keep your paperwork New baffle stack, blast baffle, and end cap. Same serial. Same NFA paperwork. Serviced and function-tested before we ship it home.

Take Cloak home.
Backed for life.

Pay today. Pick your FFL at checkout. We ship the can to your dealer, they file the Form 4 with you, and it's yours after ATF approval — covered by our lifetime warranty and serviceable-core program from day one.
